I used Gibsons of Bolton and Heywood Lancashire for a friends funeral in January. We asked if they were members of the Funeral Directors association and was given to believe they were, and that was correct, " they were " but at the time of the funeral they had not been members for sometime, even though their Bolton office displayed certificates all around the walls giving the impression they were members. Their service was abismal, even to the point of turning up on the day without the family flowers requested.. They agreed a £500 refund off the final bill but to date we have not received or look like receiving this money despite several request to them and their head office. They also did not pay the function venue again a similar amount, even though they invoiced us and they were paid the money. They actually presented some cheques to them which bounced, and not through lack of trying the venue has still not been paid this money. It is a sad state of affairs when a funeral directors have no morals which from personal experience I believe this one ceratinly has none. ...
